Play streets in Wandsworth

Regular play streets

Wandsworth Council has not yet seen the light with play streets and does not offer its residents the opportunity to open their street for play on a regular basis. If you live in Wandsworth and think this should change we’d love to help you convince the council! So get in touch. In the meantime you could apply to hold a one-off play street event, see below.

Want to try out a play street?

Want to run a trial play street? Perhaps on Car Free Day or another day? You can – however in Wandsworth, unfortunately it is likely to cost you.  More details below.

Apply at least six weeks before your event.

It will cost you £60 to apply. Boooo

You must demonstrate that most residents have agreed to this event, by showing signatures.

Nothing is provided by the council. Residents need to supply their own barriers and signage or hire them from the council (for £30).

Street party applications can be made online.
