Play streets in Kingston

Regular play streets

Hooray! Kingston introduced a play street policy in autumn 2019 so there’s nothing to stop you applying!

Refer to website – various deadlines

Closures can last for up to three hours and be held weekly, fortnightly or monthly

Enclose a copy of resident consultation letter and a list of supporters with your application.

Try before you buy – run a trial play street

Want to run a trial play street? Perhaps on Car Free Day or another day? You can! Find out if a play street is for you and your neighbours before committing to regular sessions by having a one-off event. More details below.

Apply eight weeks before your event.

You’re in luck! It’s free!

All neighbours need to be informed of time and date

Nothing is supplied – residents must even provide their own street barriers

By the way…

Councils are liable to change dates, process and contact details. We try hard to keep this page updated but if you notice that something is not right, please let us know!
