Play streets in Kensington & Chelsea

Regular play streets

Unfortunately we don’t think RBKC offers its residents the chance to open their streets for play on a regular basis. If you live here and want to change that, we’d love to try and help you! In the meantime you can apply for a one-off play street via a street party application, see below.

Want to try out a play street?

Want to run a trial play street? Perhaps on Car Free Day or another day? RBKC does offer this opportunity to residents but we have to be honest and say it is not the easiest borough in which to apply.

You have to apply at least six weeks in advance!

Check with council

Residents to be informed/consulted on times and dates.

Council will provide barriers if necessary.

By the way…

Councils are liable to change dates, process and contact details. We try hard to keep this page updated but if you notice that something is not right, please let us know!
