Play streets in Croydon

Regular play streets

Croydon residents have been playing on their streets since 2014 and the council is very supportive of play streets. Residents are asked to run three trial sessions before applying to make their play street permanent.

Applications can be lodged at any time but make sure you apply at least six weeks before your first event.

Up to three hours a session, monthly or potentially even weekly.

All affected residents must be sent a letter informing them of plans and giving them the chance to respond. The council must be informed of responses received.

The council supplies signs and barriers.
