Regular play streets
Residents in Brent have been able to apply to run their own play streets since 2016. Could your street be next?
Four deadlines a year – end of January, end of April, end of July and the end of October. Apply 10-12 weeks in advance.
Up to three hours a session, monthly or potentially even weekly
Strong support from properties in the affected street to be demonstrated in the form of a list of signatures – this will usually mean going door to door.
Road signs, cones and up to six high visibility vests

Want to run a trial play street? Perhaps on Car Free Day or another day? You can! Find out if a play street is for you and your neighbours before committing to regular sessions by having a one-off event. More details below.
Apply at least six weeks prior to your event – eight weeks prior for Car Free Day.
Normally £200 but the council has waived fees for Car Free Day in the past.
All neighbours to be informed of time and dates and a contact number of lead organiser for the day.
